How To Remove Wax Melts From Your Wax Burner

Updated: Apr 1

Utilising the freezer is one of the simplest and most efficient ways to remove wax melts from your wax burner. This method causes the wax to harden and contract, allowing it to easily pop out of the burner. However, it's important to note that this technique is suitable only for ceramic wax melt burners, as glass ones may break under such conditions.

Here's how to safely remove wax from your ceramic burner:

  1. First, ensure the tea light is extinguished and the wax burner has cooled down completely. Remove the tea light from the burner.

  2. Next, place the entire ceramic wax warmer into the freezer. While 10-20 minutes is often sufficient, leaving the wax burner in the freezer overnight can ensure the wax is thoroughly solidified.

  3. After removing the wax warmer from the freezer, you'll notice the wax has detached or "popped" away from the burner's surface.

  4. Dispose of the solid wax disc.

  5. Before using the wax burner again, allow it to reach room temperature. Then, insert a new Popili Home Wax Melt, and light the tea light to enjoy the fragrance once more.

Feel free to repeat this process whenever you wish to change the wax melt in your burner.
